[問題] 什麼是免安裝、可攜式軟體、綠色軟體？

小軟體常分為「免安裝」或「可攜」兩種，
可攜式軟體的英文是 Portable Program 或 Portable Software。

  補充：根據 wiki 上的資料，可攜式軟體應稱為：portable application

以下是我的認知，想向大家確認：

所謂「可攜式軟體」是指：
「所有程式會用到的檔案都在該程式目錄下」，
而「不會將資料寫入登錄檔」，
也「不會將資料寫入其他目錄」吧？
例：ConvertZ。

不用安裝，
但會「將資料寫入登錄檔」或「將資料寫入其他目錄」的軟體，
應該只能算「免安裝軟體」而已吧？
例：免安裝的 PotPlayer。

  補充：上列連結中有提到 "portable application" 的定義：
        A portable application does not leave its files or settings on the
        host computer. Typically this means that the application does not
        write to the Windows registry and instead stores its settings in one
        or more configuration files (e.g. an INI file) located in its
        directory. While some applications have options to support this
        behavior, many programs are not designed to do this. A common
        technique for such programs is the use of a launcher program to copy
        necessary settings and files to the host computer when the
        application starts and move them back to the application's directory
        when it closes.

    再補充：wiki 中搜尋 "green software" 會被導向 portable application。

           摘錄：Greenware is software distributed under the condition that
                 the user does something to help the environment. The term

                 Greenware can be distributed free or for charge. In either
                 case the author expects the user to do something "green".

最後還是想請問，「免安裝」的英文怎麼說？

        根據 wiki 中的資料，
        免安裝英文應寫作："XCOPY deployment" 或 "XCOPY install"。



結論：

什麼是免安裝：
不需經過一般安裝程序 (如：Windows Installer)，
直接執行即可使用。
英文：XCOPY deployment 或 XCOPY install

什麼是可攜式軟體：
不需經過一般安裝程序 (如：Windows Installer)，
直接執行即可使用，
且典型的可攜式軟體不會在該軟體所在資料夾以外的地方留下資料。

什麼是綠色軟體：
英文 "green software" 和 "greenware" 翻成中文都是「綠色軟體」，
但就目前 wiki 上的說法，前者指的是「可攜式軟體」，

推 NanikaNL:可是，假若是在沒有管理權限的電腦上使用，如果可攜式軟
→ NanikaNL:體會動到registry，不是就不能順利執行也就不能帶著走隨
→ NanikaNL:時隨處使用了嗎？這樣不是又有違可攜的涵義了……？
→ IOann:一般來說，會動到 registry 就不能算可攜
